Ubaldo "Skooter" Leon has been our mortgage broker for 5 years now. Skooter has managed several loans for us and the reasons are simple. He get’s the job done. He does not miss deadlines. I purchased my first home at the end of 2008 just as the U.S. economy collapsed and banks panicked. The process of getting a loan during the worst crisis since 1930′s was pretty though. I got approved twice but soon after I was told, by other lenders, that they had additional requirements on the loan. Five appraisals and many sleepless nights in working with those lenders later, I ended up with 2 high interest mortgages on a million dollar house. One of those mortgages was a balloon loan with a short loan term that was about to be called due.
I was aware of the fact that not refinancing my house wasn’t an option. I got close to losing it and I was terrified of going through the whole loan approval process again. My realtor put me in contact with Ubaldo and…it was a completely different experience this time around. Ubaldo coached me through the loan process from beginning to end and he always had a plan B or C in case any obstacles came up. My monthly payments dropped by 25% and I couldn’t be more pleased with Ubaldo’s performance. Buying a house is a huge deal and we must have top professionals around to ensure the smoothest ride possible. Ubaldo is one of those professionals!
